HTC Begin Countdown For HTC M7

It’s has been well publicized  that HTC is planning to launch its next generation of flagship phones in an event at New York and London respectively on February 19th and HTC is trying harder to make sure the events gets media and public attention as much as possible. Earlier this week, HTC posted an image with a date 19/02/13 on its social media platform such as Facebook and Twitter with an image that look to be the one edge of a white HTC M7/One. And just barely few hours after that HTC put up a countdown on its official website (www.htc.com) which expires right at HTC’s press event pick off on February 19th. Although the countdown itself is a bit ordinary to begin with, HTC did try to make things interesting by including an animated backgrounds which gives us a quick look at the HTC One/M7.

The four second clip did highlights the HTC corporate logo and reveals the silver and white casing of the HTC M7. Since we have a hard time make out the details on htc.com, we have include a video below so that you can watch as many time as you want. With the unveiling is more than five days away, it is likely that HTC would release a few more teaser video before the countdown is up.

The HTC M7 is rumoured to maintain a 4.7-inch display similar to the One X but will come with a Full HD 1080p display instead. Moreover, the HTC flagship M7 will also come with a 1.7GHz quad-core processor plus a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.  here is the comparison of HTC M7 vs HTC One X

The HTC flagship device will also come with a 13-megapixel camera at the back which offer a ‘Cinesensor’ image sensor, low motion and HDR video capabilities. Finally and most importantly, HTC M7 will run on latest Android Jelly Bean and will include the all new revamped HTC’s in house Sense UI known as the Sense 5.

HTC Teases the M7 with…. a Human Heart

The M7 poster have a very unique feel in it.

What is this? A heart connected to a circuit board? This is gonna scare those who are having hematophobia (the phobia of blood) away. And is that an HTC logo down there? Oh goodness gracious! What have they done?

Okay, huh hmm! (Clearing throat)

Jokes aside, look like HTC is going all out in their marketing effort. Just as I mentioned in an earlier post, CEO of HTC, Peter Chou admitted that HTC wasn’t doing enough on marketing front. HTC’s competitors like Samsung pours billions of dollars to make sure their products stay strong in the consumers’ mind. Thus, whenever someone wants to buy a cell phone, Samsung is almost always the first brand to come up in mind, resulting in big loss of HTC.

HTC is surely wanted to change the game now. The teaser poster appeared on a German forum undoubtedly catches our eye balls easily. The image of a cybernetic heart attached to circuit board and the tagline “Alive Soon” seem to indicate that a new life is getting pumped up in near future. It’s likely tipping the birth of HTC’s next flagship phone, the M7.

HTC has sent an invitation for an event holding on 19 February in New York. The purpose of the event is believed to be the debut of HTC M7. The existence of HTC M7 has been confirmed by none other than Peter Chow himself in a video broadcasted in Taipei. Peter Chow was seen holding the M7 to take pictures of the audience in some kind of year-end party.

More recent rumors of HTC M7 pointed out that it is going to bring brand new sound and camera experience to the consumers. The M7 is claiming to have 13-megapixel rear camera which is made by combining three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers. The camera is said to be able to capture crisper, cleaner images with better color accuracy.

Seeing the teaser poster, I couldn’t wait to see HTC M7 in action. Will the impact of the M7 surpass that of the One X Plus* from last year? This is going to be a great showdown!

HTC M4 Image Leaked

Whenever we thought about the next HTC device surely, the HTC M7 will be the first to be in your mind but we all must not forget that HTC is also currently working on the HTC M4. And not forget that this mid-range Android phone in the same league as it siblings the M7 but it would be a very appealing option for customer that are looking for a device which is decently equipped at very affordable price.

While earlier rumour have revealed most of the HTC M4 Specs which include a 4.3-inch display, a 1.2GHz dual core processor with 1GB of RAM plus 5 megapixel camera at the back, we now have a clear picture of how the device might looks thanks to a handful of leaked image purportedly the HTC M4. The HTC M4 inherit some of the similarities of the HTC M7 and the older HTC One X released last year but what caught most of our attention was the camera on the front and the speaker grill. Oddly enough, the latest picture of the HTC M4 look very similar to a leaked image of white HTC M7 which surfaced in the middle of January.

We don’t see any reason to doubt whether the picture is indeed the  M4 Pictures, but it do raise question mark as the image is similar to the white  M7 leaked image. We have seen numerous image of a black HTC M7 which is completely different than the white version of the leaked images plus the HTC recent announcement of a new sound experience gives even more reason to believe the credential of the image that show stereo speakers on the front of the device.

Last year, Samsung went to great length to hide the final design of the Galaxy S III. Many of the engineers who worked on the project had no clue what the final design even looked like since they used special cases and even had alternate designs of the phone during development. Alternately, HTC could have a design specifically for North America and another design for Europe and the rest of the world. It’s impossible to know.

Could HTC follow the same tactics that Samsung do last year? Samsung was very aggressive to hide the final design of the flagship Galaxy SIII where even the engineers that worked on the project itself didn’t have the clue of how the final design might look as they only worked using special cases and even had an alternate design of the phone during the development. It is impossible to tell whether HTC might have decide to design phone specifically for North America and while another going to Europe plus the rest of the world market
