HTC One is Truly The One and Only Flagship of HTC in 2013

HTC is currently in the process of streamlining its usual approach to smartphone this year. The Taiwanese based tech giant is expected to stick with the new HTC One as its one and only flagship handset for this year.

Phil Robertson, HTC’s executive director for U.K and Ireland revealed that the HTC One will be stick to its true name, whereby the Taiwanese firm putting its high hope on the sleek and sexy iPhone-like Android handset.

"We just said, 'Let's just create one flagship device this year,'" Roberson told Omio. "This is The One."
This move is completely different from what HTC do last year where they opted to release a wide range of HTC one devices including the One X, One X+, One V and One S.

Reinforcing its latest generation flagship brand to a one solitary device could pay off handsomely for HTC as the multiple model approach can quickly confuse the potential customers on which feature belong with which handset.

What we can assure you is that there is no any sort of confusion about the new HTC One though, it come with a 4.7-inch full HD display (similar to HTC Butterfly), 1.7GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of DDR2 RAM.
HTC One also come with Beats Audio-powered BoomSound coupled with a front-facing speaker and amplifier along with BlinkFeed technology for a constant stream of news and photos from you preferred store and not to forget the social networks.

The camera which only a 4MP is still a great camera as it’s utilizes a feature that HTC call the UltraPixels where the basic idea is that larger pixel make for better images mainly to the image that in low light conditions, than more pixel. The camera also come with HTC Zoe, which turn the photos into a mini-movies.

Importantly, just because HTC declared the One as the only flagship device on the market for the whole year, it doesn’t mean that the door is closed to other HTC handsets under the One brand.
After HTC One took the MWC best in show award, we find it hard to argue with the latest decision of HTC’s new flagship strategy.

HTC Begin Countdown For HTC M7

It’s has been well publicized  that HTC is planning to launch its next generation of flagship phones in an event at New York and London respectively on February 19th and HTC is trying harder to make sure the events gets media and public attention as much as possible. Earlier this week, HTC posted an image with a date 19/02/13 on its social media platform such as Facebook and Twitter with an image that look to be the one edge of a white HTC M7/One. And just barely few hours after that HTC put up a countdown on its official website (www.htc.com) which expires right at HTC’s press event pick off on February 19th. Although the countdown itself is a bit ordinary to begin with, HTC did try to make things interesting by including an animated backgrounds which gives us a quick look at the HTC One/M7.

The four second clip did highlights the HTC corporate logo and reveals the silver and white casing of the HTC M7. Since we have a hard time make out the details on htc.com, we have include a video below so that you can watch as many time as you want. With the unveiling is more than five days away, it is likely that HTC would release a few more teaser video before the countdown is up.

The HTC M7 is rumoured to maintain a 4.7-inch display similar to the One X but will come with a Full HD 1080p display instead. Moreover, the HTC flagship M7 will also come with a 1.7GHz quad-core processor plus a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.  here is the comparison of HTC M7 vs HTC One X

The HTC flagship device will also come with a 13-megapixel camera at the back which offer a ‘Cinesensor’ image sensor, low motion and HDR video capabilities. Finally and most importantly, HTC M7 will run on latest Android Jelly Bean and will include the all new revamped HTC’s in house Sense UI known as the Sense 5.

HTC Sense 5 UI Leaks with Upcoming HTC M7

Last weekend, there’s a couple of leaked screenshots thought to be from an upcoming version 5 of HTC’s Sense User Interface which believed to be running on top of the unreleased HTC’s Android flagship devices the HTC M7

Now, we have another two more screenshots to look at with the first allegedly is the new lock screen where we can see that HTC had done some changes to it with the usual ‘ring’ is nowhere to be seen, weather information is being displayed and our tipster notified us that the icons have a more “holo” look.

The second image below is reportedly is a screen of the settings and if this screenshot turn out to be the Sense 5’s Setting page actual look then users will need to get to use to the new icons as well as the new switch toggles.

Last but not the lease, our source also tells us that the device on the picture above where there’s not much to be seen is indeed the upcoming HTC flagship devices, the HTC M7. We can’t verify whether this information is true or not so we would recommend it to treat as a usual pre-launch rumours. We also learn that the design is as same as found in the HTC One X, however there is no drilled headset holes.

We were hoping to see some of new HTC devices at CES which was held last week in Las Vegas at there is nothing interesting announced by the Taiwanese manufacturer which at least confirmed that we would see some kind of announcement at Mobile World Congress and we’re definitely looking forward to seeing what the M7 will turn out to be.

The HTC M7 will have a 1.7GHz quad core processor along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, 4.7” Full HD(similar to HTC Droid DNA) display, with a whooping pixel density of 468ppi (pixels per inch). The camera feature isn’t a let-down either, with 2MP front-facing camera and 13MP rear camera which is capable of capturing 1080p video.
